Historical learning in Indonesia experienced a wide range of dynamics. The historical material was made boring, students are not motivated to learn history because of the discrimination condition in hierarchy of knowledge, and etc. In 2013, Indonesian Government launched a new curriculum. This curriculum emphasizes the development of critical thinking-creative and innovative for the learners. The purpose of the new curriculum was to push historical teacher be creative. This paper tries to focus on two intellectual figures in history of Indonesia and India. There are Ki Hadjar Dewantara and Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. The valuesunderlying cultural wisdom of Dewantara and Gandhi's life can be actualized in history. The histoical educators can provide a wider space for students to creation of historical materials. Application of scientific-based in 2013 curriculum that would provide the right space to implement. Among them through various means such as forming a space for discussion, making electronic media, creating a community, a group of historical fans, wrote a history of the movement, held a character camp program in the form of live and interacting with in the community, or the various actions that were able to inflame the spirit of students.
