PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS MASALAH UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH IPA PADA SISWA KELAS VI SD NO 5 JINENG DALEM

Abstract


Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah sains melalui penerapan problem based learning model pada siswa kelas VI SD No 5 Jineng Dalem pada tahun akademik 2017/2018. Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan mengambil 32 siswa kelas VI semester 1 sebagai mata pelajaran. Data kemampuan pemecahan masalah dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes problem solving dalam bentuk esai. Data kemampuan pemecahan masalah dianalisis secara kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan problem based learning model dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah sains pada siswa kelas VI semester 1 SD No 5 Jineng Dalem pada tahun akademik 2017/2018. Pada siklus pertama, rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa adalah 69,31 dengan presentase 62,5%. Pada siklus II, nilai rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah mencapai 81,05 dan persentase penguasaan siswa secara klasik mencapai 87,5%. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa telah ada peningkatan nilai rata-rata keterampilan pemecahan masalah yaitu 11,74 dan persentase peningkatan penguasaan pembelajaran siswa sebesar 25% dari siklus I ke siklus II.

 

This classroom action research aims to improve the problem solving ability of science through the implementation of problem-based learning model in the grade VI students of SD No 5 Jineng Dalem in the academic year 2017/2018. The design of this study was a classroom action research by taking 32 students of grade VI semester 1 as a subject of study. The data of problem solving capability was collected by using problem solving test in the form of essay. The data of problem solving abilities was analyzed quantitatively. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of problem-based learning model can improve the ability of science problem-solving in the grade VI students semester 1 elementary school No 5 Jineng Dalem in the academic year 2017/2018. In the first cycle, the average of student problem solving ability is 69.31 with the percentage of 62.5%. In the cycle II, the average value of problem solving ability reaches 81.05 and the percentage of students mastery classically reaches 87.5%. These results indicate that there has been an improvement in the average value of problem solving skills that is 11.74 and the percentage improvement of students' learning mastery by 25% from cycle I to cycle II.
