Abstract

SMPN 1 Soreang is a public junior high school located in the Soreang District, Bandung Regency. The school’s vision is to create a generation that is high-achieving, has strong character, and possesses broad insight. SMPN 1 Soreang is committed to providing quality education by implementing an innovative curriculum supported by professional educators, making it one of the leading and most favored junior high schools in the Bandung Regency area.

In addition to academic activities, SMPN 1 Soreang also supports student development through extracurricular activities such as sports and arts, aiming to nurture students’ skills and talents beyond regular class hours. All academic and non-academic activities at SMPN 1 Soreang are supported by adequate facilities. However, despite having complete supporting infrastructure, the school still lacks an integrated information system, which often causes confusion for students and prospective students when trying to explore the available facilities.

The design of the Environmental Graphic Design to be implemented at SMPN 1 Soreang will utilize Qualitative Methods and the Design Thinking approach. The selection of these two methods is expected to yield solutions that are easy to understand and provide clear information. Through the design of a more informative and user-friendly information system, it is hoped that it will support wayfinding activities for prospective students and the SMPN 1 Soreang community, making navigation faster and more comfortable.
