Analisis Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Penyelesaian Studi Tepat Waktu serta Implikasinya terhadap Kualitas Lulusan

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to examine, formulate and identify the factors that affect the study period and its implications for the quality of graduates of Economic Education Studies Program of Graduate School of University of Indonesia Education. This research is based on data of Graduate School of University of Indonesia Education consists of 36 study programs. Of the 36 courses in each graduation period there are still many students of UPI Graduate School of Economics Education Program whose graduation time is not on time or more than two years.

The method used in this research is the research, development and evaluation (R, D & E) model, which will be pursued through leterature, documentation and survey. Data analysis techniques with multiple linear regression analysis, to study how the influence of one or several independent variables with one dependent variable.

Based on the data analysis, it was found that the motivation to complete the study through internal factors had an effect on the level of non-significant and positive toward the study period, and the motivation to complete the study through external factors had an effect on the non-significant and negative level on the study period. Motivation to complete the study through internal factors affect the level of insignificant and positive to the quality of graduates, the motivation to complete the study through external factors affect the level of not significant and negative to the quality of graduates, and the study period has an effect on the level of significant and negative to the quality of graduates.

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji, merumuskan dan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi masa studi serta implikasinya terhadap kualitas lulusan Program Studi Pendidikan Ekonomi Sekolah Pascasarjana Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Penelitian ini didasari dari data Sekolah Pascasarjana Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia terdiri dari 36 program studi. Dari 36 program studi tersebut pada setiap periode wisuda masih banyak mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan ekonomi Sekolah Pascasarjana UPI yang waktu kelulusan mahasiswa tidak tepat waktu atau lebih dari dua tahun.

Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitina ini adalah model penelitian penilaian dan pengembangan (research, development and evaluation atau R, D & E), yang akan ditempuh melalui studi leteratur, dokumentasi dan survey. Teknik analisis data dengan analisis regresi linier berganda, untuk mempelajari bagaimana pengaruh antara satu atau beberapa variabel bebas dengan satu variabel terikat.

Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh bahwa motivasi menyelesaikan studi melalui faktor internal berpengaruh pada taraf tidak signifikan serta positif terhadap masa studi, dan Motivasi menyelesaikan studi melalui faktor eksternal berpengaruh pada taraf tidak signifikan serta negatif terhadap masa studi.
