Abstract

This study aims to map the intellectual structure and research development of Distributed Leadership in Higher Education through a bibliometric approach. The study analyzes scholarly publications indexed in the Scopus database to identify publication trends, influential authors, leading institutions, collaborative networks, and emerging research themes related to distributed leadership in higher education. Bibliometric techniques, including co-authorship, co-citation, and keyword co-occurrence analyses, were employed using visualization tools to examine the evolution and structure of the field. The findings reveal a significant growth of research interest in distributed leadership, particularly in relation to academic collaboration, organizational change, shared governance, and institutional effectiveness. The study also identifies dominant research clusters and emerging thematic directions that shape the contemporary discourse of leadership in higher education. This bibliometric study provides a comprehensive overview of the field and offers insights for future research and policy development in higher education leadership and management
