PLANNING AND DESIGN OF TRANSIT MALL AT YOGYAKARTA WISATA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT USING ECO - CULTURE ARCHITECTURAL APPROACH

Abstract


The purpose of this study is to examine the needs of a transit mall site in the Yogyakarta International Airport area and to plan and design a transit mall according to an eco-culture architectural approach. This planning and design uses the Kurtz architecture programming method. The subject of this planning and design is the Yogyakarta International Airport transit mall. Sources of data come from field observations and documentation. The design of the Yogyakarta International Airport transit mall building uses an eco-culture architectural approach which consists of five principles, viz. Space image, Environmental Knowledge Resources, Ideal Place Concept, Building Image, Technology. The result of this final project study is location determination. which meet the needs of transit malls at Yogyakarta International Airport as well as planning and designing transit malls at Yogyakarta International Airport in the form of shopping centers and commercial zones, hotel zones, and recreation zones with an eco-cultural architectural approach.
