Architectural Pedagogy in Design Studio Learning : A Method between Learning and Teaching

Abstract


Pedagogy in architectural studio is an educational approach that focuses on developing students'technical, creative, and conceptual skills through hands-on experience, design exploration, andintensive social interaction in the context of real architectural projects. The purpose of this study isto find out about learning and teaching methods in the Architecture Studio related to pedagogy. Themethod used in this study is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR). This method is a critique andin-depth evaluation of previous research that is carried out systematically by applying applicablestandards. This method is used to examine the results of research that has been published in journalsin a particular field of study. The results obtained in this study are fifteen methods in learning andteaching architecture studios related to pedagogy. According to educational pedagogy, thesetechniques build a collaborative and dynamic learning environment. In addition to receivinginformation, students are encouraged to actively generate and expand their knowledge throughinvestigation and application. Because it motivates students to recognize design challenges, findanswers, and collaborate in groups to create a project as a whole, problem-based learning is arelevant approach.
