Pengaruh Teaching Factory Terhadap Kreatifitas, Kompetensi, serta Inovasi Siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan

Abstract


Artikel ini membahas penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh teaching factory terhadap kreativitas, kompetensi, serta inovasi siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Pengaruh penerapan teaching factory dengan kehadiran Technopark di sekolah menengah kejuruan yaitu mendorong siswa untuk berkreativitas, mengembangkan kompetensi, menghasilkan produk inovasi baru. Technopark merupakan kawasan industri yang dimana kelanjutan dari Teaching factory. Tujuannya adalah untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dengan pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada produksi yang berada pada level yang sama dengan industri. Pembelajaran ini dapat menciptakan lingkungan untuk siswa meraih pengalaman membuat produk, meningkatkan keterampilan, sehingga dapat menyeimbangkan kemampuan dan pengetahuan mereka. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa SMK Negeri 11 Bandung yang mengikuti program Teaching Factory. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan dan metode kuantitatif dengan instrumen pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner melalui Google Form. Kuesioner penelitian ini merupakan jenis kuesioner tertutup, dimana peneliti memberi kesempatan kepada responden untuk memberi pendapat atas pilihannya. Dari hasil penelitian terdapat 23 responden 84.4% menyatakan program teaching factory dapat berpengaruh terhadap kreativitas, kompetensi, serta inovasi siswa SMK, sedangkan 15.6% merasa kurang berpengaruh terhadap kreativitas, kompetensi, serta inovasi siswa SMK. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa teaching factory dapat menjadi suatu program yang mendukung pembelajaran siswa khususnya bagi siswa SMK. Karena dengan adanya program ini siswa dapat berkreativitas, berinovasi dan melatih kemampuannya secara langsung dalam mempersiapkan diri terjun ke dunia kerja. Oleh karena itu, diharapkan pemerintah dan pihak sekolah lebih gencar lagi dalam pengadaan program ini di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan agar masalah pendidikan kejuruan dapat teratasi.

Abstract

This article discusses research that aims to determine the influence of teaching factory on creativity, competence, and innovation of vocational high school students. The influence of teaching factory with the presence of techno park in vocational high school is to encourage students to be creative, develop competencies, and to produce new innovative products. Technopark is an industrial area that is a continuation of teaching factory. The aim is to improve the quality of the education with production-oriented learning that is on the same level as industry. This learning can create an environment for students to gain experience in making products and improve skill so they can balance their abilities and knowledge. The population of this study was students of SMKN 11 Bandung who participated in the teaching factory program. This research uses the literature study method and quantitative method with data collection instruments using questionnaires through google forms. This research questionnaire is a type of closed questionnaire, where the researcher allows the respondent to give an opinion on their choice. Results of the study from 23 respondents 84,4% stated that the teaching factory affects the creativity, competence, and innovation of vocational students, while 15,6% stated that it had less effect on creativity, competence, and innovation of vocational students. From the result of this study, it can be concluded that teaching factory can be a program that supports student learning, especially for vocational school students. Because with this program students can be more creative, innovative, and practice their abilities directly in preparing themselves to enter the workplace. Therefore, it’s hoped that the government and schools will be more aggressive in adding this program in vocational high school so that the problem in vocational high school can be resolved with this program students can be creative, innovate and practice their abilities directly in preparing themselves to enter the world of work. Therefore, it is hoped that the government and schools will be more aggressive in procuring this program in Vocational High Schools so that the problem of vocational education can be resolved.
