Efektivitas Latihan Z Pattern Dribble Dan Running With The Ball Terhadap Keterampilan Menggiring Bola Pemain Sepak Bola U-12 Balasuga FA Semarang

Abstract


This study aims to examine the effect of Z Pattern Dribble and Running with the Ball training on football dribbling skills in under-12 players at Balasuga Football Academy in Semarang City. The research employed an experimental method with a pretest-posttest two-group design using ordinal pairing. The population in this study consisted of under-12 football players at Balasuga Football Academy, with a total sample selected through total sampling technique. Participants were divided into two groups, with one group receiving Z Pattern Dribble training and the other receiving Running with the Ball training. The intervention was carried out over a series of training sessions conducted multiple times with progressive repetitions and sets to enhance training load. The instrument used to measure the improvement in dribbling skills was a standardized performance test. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques to determine the effectiveness of each training method. The findings indicate that both types of training had a positive impact on dribbling skills, demonstrated by notable improvements from pretest to posttest in each group. However, further analysis revealed no statistically significant difference between the two groups in terms of posttest results, suggesting that both training models offer similar effectiveness. Therefore, Z Pattern Dribble and Running with the Ball exercises can both be recommended as effective alternatives in football training programs aimed at improving fundamental skills among young players.
