Meningkatkan Kreativitas Gerak Tari pada Siswa Melalui Stimulus Properti
Abstract
Creativity is one of the essential elements in the arts, particularly in dance. In the dance learning process, creativity is needed not only to master techniques and movement patterns but also to create original and innovative expressions of movement. The presence of extracurricular activities serves as a platform to cultivate students’ talents and interests in the arts, including the development of creative dance movement.
This study aims to determine the effect of providing property based stimuli on enhancing students’ dance movement creativity and to describe the learning process implemented in the dance extracurricular program at SMA Negeri 15 Bandung. The method used is an experimental approach with a quantitative one-group pretest post-test design. The subjects of this research were 12 students participating in the dance extracurricular program at SMA Negeri 15 Bandung. Data were collected through observation and pretest post-test assessments, and analyzed using the N-Gain formula. The results show that before receiving the property stimulus, students’ creative movements were still limited to imitative actions, lacking fluidity, and not yet innovative. After learning using the fan as a property stimulus, an increase in creativity was observed in terms of fluidity, novelty, and willingness to explore. This improvement is supported by an N-Gain score of 0.3, which falls into the medium category.
