Meningkatkan Kompetensi Teknik Gerak Dengan Problem Based Learning Berbasis Tiktok: (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas di SMA Negeri 2 Sumedang)

Abstract


The focus of this study is the weak ability of students in performing dance movement techniques. This issue arises because the dance learning process frequently relies on conventional methods, resulting in students’ learning abilities being less than optimal, along with the limited use of instructional media by teachers. Consequently, students’ competencies have declined. This study aims to improve students’ competence in dance movement techniques through the implementation of a TikTok-based Problem Based Learning (PBL) model at SMA Negeri 2 Sumedang. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 34 students from Class X-8. Before the implementation of the model, the percentage of competency mastery in dance movement techniques was relatively low, at 44.11%. Students were not yet able to perform movements accurately and lacked synchronization between movement and music. After the implementation of the TikTok-based Problem Based Learning model in Cycle I, the classical mastery percentage increased to 82.35%, and in Cycle II it rose significantly to 97.05%. These results indicate that the use of TikTok as a learning medium within the Problem Based Learning model can motivate students, increase active participation, and facilitate a more visual, creative, and contextual understanding of dance movement techniques. Thus, the TikTok-based Problem Based Learning model has proven to be successful.
