The Influence of Circuit Training on Aerobic Endurance in Tarung Derajat Athletes

Abstract


This research discusses the use of training methodology in the form of Circuit Training when training for the aerobic endurance of Tarung Derajat athletes. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of circuit training on VO2 Max of Tarung Derajat athletes. The method used is an experimental method with a one group pretest-posttest research design. The population used was Tarung Derajat athletes from Bandung Regency, totaling 24 athletes from the West Java Regional Student Sports Week. The sample of athletes taken were Tarung Derajat athletes from Bandung Regency, totaling 24 athletes taken using a total sampling technique from the population. This research instrument uses a multi-stage fitness test using the bleep test. The data analysis technique used was the Paired Sample t Test, and the results of this study showed that there was a significant influence from the use of training circuits when training Tarung Derajat on VO2 Max results by showing significant improvement.
