Workshop pemanfaatan artificial intelligence untuk menyusun proposal PKM bagi mahasiswa fisika Unsoed

Abstract


The Student Creativity Program (PKM) is a competition in the field of research and community service at the student level organized by Kemdiktisaintek. The achievement of Physics undergraduate students in the national-level PKM competition is still relatively low, which is indicated by the minimal number of proposals that have successfully passed funding. This condition has an impact on the low achievement of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of higher education, especially in the aspect of student achievement. Some of the contributing factors include students' lack of understanding of the basics of research and proposal writing, limited time and resources, and the absence of a strong research culture within the study program. To overcome these problems, community service activities were carried out in the form of a workshop on the preparation of PKM proposals assisted by artificial intelligence (AI) technology. This workshop was attended by 70 Unsoed Physics undergraduate students from batches 2022, 2023, and 2024. As an output of the activity, several PKM proposals have been produced in groups by students across generations, then reviewed by mentors, and registered to take part in the PKM competition in 2025.
