Peningkatan kompetensi alur kerja pascaproduksi film pada siswa SMK melalui workshop asisten editor

Abstract


The efficiency of the film post-production stage heavily relies on detailed preparation during the offline editing phase; however, misunderstandings often arise regarding the creative role of the Editor and the technical role of the Assistant Editor within vocational education. This community service initiative aims to enhance the competence of Film Production students at SMKN 5 Bandung through a workshop focusing on the Assistant Editor's role in alignment with the SKKNI standards and the Teaching Factory (TEFA) model. The implementation method comprised three stages: presentation of the conceptual framework, technical skills training (data organizing, transcoding, and assembly), and evaluation along with the provision of learning resources. The results of this initiative demonstrate high relevance to industry needs, with 73.9% of participants stating that the material was highly relevant. The participants' responses to the workshop were positive, with the percentage breakdown (strongly agree; agree) across the following aspects: understanding the division of work responsibilities for assistant editors (25%; 33.33%), technical data management capabilities (29.2%; 45.8%), and assembly skills (16.7%; 54.2%). This readiness enables the continuation of the program into the offline editing phase alongside the main editor. In conclusion, this program is effective in preparing students to meet the KKNI Level 2 and 3 qualifications.
