Studi Kasus Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis Open-Ended Test pada Materi Gerak Harmonik

Abstract


ABSTRAK

 

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI di SMAN 27 Garut pada materi gerak harmonik. Berpikir kritis merupakan pemikiran masuk akal dan reflektif yang berfokus pada pengambilan keputusan tentang apa yang harus dipercaya atau dilakukan. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 30 orang yang terdiri dari 19 orang perempuan dan 11 orang laki-laki. Metode penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus single case dimana penelitian dilakukan untuk meneliti kondisi dan situasi yang sedang terjadi, sehingga memberikan gambaran berdasarkan fakta yang dijumpai di lapangan bertujuan untuk mencari keterangan secara faktual. Masalah yang diteliti yaitu keterampilan berpikir kritis dan motivasi siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan soal essay sebanyak 4 soal. Rendahnya keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada setiap indikator dengan persentase untuk indikator mencontohkan (72.22%), mendeskripsikan menyimpulkan (55.56%), menafsirkan (41,67), membandingkan (47,22%), menjelaskan (57.64 %) menentukan (72.22 %) dan mengklasifikasikan (61.11 %). Dari hasil penelitian tersebut beberapa indikator dari keterampilan berpikir siswa masih rendah.

 

 

ABSTRACT

 

This study aims to determine the critical thinking skills of class XI students in one of the high schools in Garut district on harmonic motion material. Critical thinking is sensible and reflective thinking that focuses on making decisions about what to believe or do. This research consisted of 30 people consisting of 19 women and 11 men. This research method is a single case case study where research is conducted to examine the conditions and situations that are happening, so as to provide a picture based on the facts found in the field aimed at finding information factually. The problems studied were critical thinking skills and student motivation. The instrument used in this study was a critical thinking skills test with 4 question essays. The low critical thinking skills of students on each indicator with the percentage for indicators exemplifying (72.22%), describing conclusions (55.56%), interpreting (41.67), comparing (47.22%), explaining (57.64%) determining (72.22%) and classifying (61.11%). From the results of these studies several indicators of students' thinking skills are still low.
