Dadang Agus Suryanto

Abstract

Abastract. Legitimacy theory has a big role in strengthening the function of banks as intermediaries. This study aims to analyze bank compliance in lending in accordance with the provisions of the Basel Accord I - III. Based on the results of an analysis of national commercial banks in Indonesia using panel data regression, in the span of 2010 - 2017 it was found that the implementation of Basel Accord I - III became a reference for banks in Indonesia in conducting their business, this can be seen from credit growth in line with GDP Low NPL. Good loans growth is also determined from the carrying capacity of bank efficiency, capital adequacy, commitment to bank liabilities, and reference interest rates. All of these findings indicate that the banking industry in Indonesia reflects the suitability of various interests of the community, government and banking itself.
