Abstract

Learning media commonly used in schools include visual media and other abstract media, laptop or computer media, projectors, speakers, and similar tools. This study aims to increase student activity by utilising used goods as construction materials as a medium for learning mathematics. The approach used in this research is qualitative. As a research method, researchers use descriptive methods, which use observation and documentation techniques in collecting data. This research was conducted at SDN Cilegon IX located at Jl. Tumenggung No.9, Jomban Wetang, Cilegon City, Banten Province. While collecting data in the field, researchers also conducted data analysis. All data that has been processed can be processed through three stages of qualitative data analysis: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings of this study are that using used items as learning media can make the educational situation more lively because it really arouses students' interest and attention. The utilisation of used objects as learning media in mathematics learning can help students in understanding spatial construction material.
