The Role of Digital Libraries in Enhancing Digital Literacy Among Students
Abstract
This research aims to provide an in-depth review of the role of digital libraries in enhancing digital literacy skills among students. This research is important because there is an issue of low digital literacy among students who are active users of digital devices, which contradicts the reality of easy and widespread access to information. The method used in this study is a literature review. Data was obtained from a search process using the keywords “peran perpustakaan digital” AND "literasi digital" AND “siswa” in Indonesian on the Google Scholar database. A total of 10 relevant articles were selected from the 66 articles that appeared in the search results to be used in the literature review process. Based on the findings, the existence of digital library can improve digital literacy skills. The research results indicate that the implementation of a digital library plays a role through digital resources, the availability of media access of student learning activities, and the contribution of librarians with sufficient competence. A sequence of comprehensive implementations will foster motivation, habits, and ultimately lead to the information of a digital literacy among students in the age of open access to information.
