PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN MAKE A MATCH UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA

Abstract


Conventional teaching model, speech method, is the most model used in teaching that does not involve the students actively, so it causes low progress of studying. Succesful learning process must be supported by the ability of teacher in stimulating students to be active in the class using many strategies. The cooperative learning model is one of the methods recommended for teachers. This study aimed to improve learning outcome of post-harvest technology that is the basic competence of how to determine post-harvest treatment technique for vegetables. The study using cooperative teaching method, make a match (MaM), which was compared to the conventional method. The method of this study was quasi-experiment. 61 students of IX grade, PPN vocational high school in Tanjungsari, were involved as participants using nonequivalent control group approach. In this study, Authors compared the cognitive skill of student by pre-test and post-test of two classes with different treatment. The result reveal that make a match teaching model is significant to improve study achievement than conventional teaching method.
