EFEKTIFITAS TEKNIK ROLE PLAYING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEPERCAYAAN DIRI SISWA SMA

Abstract


This study aims to determine the effectiveness of role playing techniques in increasing the
confidence of students of SMAN 1 Pangandaran. The research method used quasi-experiment with pretest-posttest control group design and quantitative approach. Data collection techniques are using self-confidence questionnaires. Participants in this study were all class X of SMAN 1 Pangandaran which was administratively registered and active in classroom learning. The sample obtained was class X-10 students, namely as the experimental class and class X-8 as the control class through a purposive sampling technique. The results of the study indicate that; (1) An overview of self-confidence in class X students of SMAN 1 Pangandaran has increased scores after being given treatment in the form of role playing techniques. This is evidenced by the increase in the pretest score before treatment to the posttest score after treatment; (2) The effectiveness of role playing techniques is proven to increase student confidence. Significant improvement can be seen from the results of the paired sample t test and the N-gain test results. It can be concluded that the effective playing technique to increase the confidence of class X students of SMAN 1 Pangandaran.
