IMPLEMENTASI EDUKASI SUSTAINABLE FASHION DALAM PEMBELAJARAN PRODUKTIF BUSANA DI KELAS XI SMK TATA BUSANA
Abstract
This study aims to: 1) Describe the implementation of sustainable fashion education within vocational fashion instruction; 2) Analyze activities involving the transformation of textile waste into creative fashion pieces during vocational fashion instruction; 3) Identify the impact of sustainable fashion education on students' creativity in producing fashion items; and 4) Determine the obstacles and supporting factors in the implementation of sustainable fashion instruction in Grade XI Fashion Design classes at a vocational high school . This study employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. It examines not only the work produced by students but also delves into the instructional process, students' learning experiences, the fostering of environmental awareness, and the development of creativity throughout the activities. The study involves 15 informants, comprising two vocational teachers, one Head of the Fashion Design Program, and 12 active Fashion Design students. Data analysis follows the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model, involving the steps of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implementation of sustainable fashion education encourages environmental awareness among students, fosters a critical mindset regarding textile waste, and enhances technical skills in fashion creation.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : 1) Mendiskripsikan penerapan edukasi sustainable fashion dalam pembelajaran produktif busana , 2) Menganalisis kegiatan pemanfaatan limbah tekstil menjadi karya fashion kreatif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran produktif busana, 3) Mengidentifikasi pengaruh penerapan edukasi sustainable fashion terhadap kreativitas peserta didik dalam menghasilkan produk busana, 4) Mengetahui faktor penghambat dan pendukung dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran sustainable fashion di kelas XI SMK Tata Busana.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Penelitian ini tidak hanya mengkaji karya yang dihasilkan siswa, tetapi juga mendalami proses pembelajaran, pengalaman belajar siswa, pembentukan kesadaran lingkungan, dan pengembangan kreativitas yang terjadi selama kegiatan berlangsung. Informan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 15 orang terdiri dari 2 orang guru produktif , 1 orang Ketua Program Keahlian dan 12 siswa aktif jurusan Tata Busana. Tehnik analisis data menggunakan model analisis Miles, Huberman, dan Saldaña dengan Langkah-langkahnya yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan penerapan Edukasi sustainable fashion, mendorong peserta didik untuk sadar lingkungan , tumbuhnya pola pikir kritis terhadap limbah tekstil dan peningkatan ketrampilan-ketrampilan tehnis pembuatan karya busana.
