PENGGUNAAN MEDIA VIDEO TUTORIAL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KREATIF SISWA

Abstract


The role of tutorial video as a learning media of this study produces a difference in students' creative thinking skills. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of the tutorial video media on students' creative thinking skills in Video Editing at SMK Negeri 2 Bandung. In general, the research problem in this study is "can tutorial video as the learning media improve the students' creative thinking skills effectively when being compared to students who are exposed with the demonstration method instead?". Meanwhile, for the formulation of the problem specifically in this study reflects "is there any difference in the effectiveness of creative thinking skills in terms of fluency, flexibility, elaboration, and originality between the students who use tutorial video as the learning media and the students who are exposed with the demonstration method at SMK Negeri 2 Bandung in Video Editing? ". The writer of this study uses a quasi-experimental study method with the Nonequivalent Control Group Design as the research design. The technique of sampling being used in this study is the Cluster Random Sampling technique. The result of the study shows a difference in students' creative thinking skills between students who use tutorial video as the learning media, and the students who are exposed with demonstration method in Video Editing. It is proven to be effective by the results of the creative thinking skills test in the experimental class. The students who use tutorial video as the learning media have a gain post-test average score of 35.83. On the other hand, the other students which are exposed with the demonstration method have a gain post-test average score of 25.37.
