Analisis Minat Melanjutkan Studi ke Perguruan Tinggi Pada Siswa SMK di Kabupaten Garut

Abstract


Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the highest unemployment is dominated by SMK graduates with an average of 11.36% from 2020-2022. The lack of job absorption for SMK graduates and the non-achievement of Minimum Service Standards from SMK Accounting and Finance Expertise Programmes in Garut Regency are problems in this study so that continuing to college is an opportunity and opportunity. This study aims to determine the description of interest in continuing studies to college for vocational students in Garut Regency. The theory used in this research is Theory of Planned Behaviour using qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and interviews to students of SMK Accounting and Finance Expertise Programme Institutions in Garut Regency as many as 153 students as a sample of 248 students. The instrument validity test uses product moment correlation and the reliability test uses Cronbach's Alpha. Data collection was carried out through filling out a questionnaire, data analysis techniques using triangulation to measure data validity. From the results of the research, students' interest in continuing their studies to college in Garut Regency is categorised as moderate with the highest indicators being the existence of feelings of pleasure and desire. The suggestions from this study need more attention to the factors that influence students' interest in continuing their education to college.
