Determinan Financial Management Behaviour pada Generasi Z di Kota Bandung

Abstract


This study aims to examine the effects of locus of control, financial attitude, financial knowledge, and childhood consumer experience on financial management behaviour among Generation Z in Bandung City. The study is grounded in the Theory of Planned Behaviour and employs descriptive and verificative research methods. Data were collected via a structured questionnaire distributed via Google Forms to 400 Generation Z respondents in Bandung City, selected through convenience sampling. Instrument validity was tested using product–moment correlation, while reliability was assessed using Cronbach’s alpha. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that locus of control, financial attitude, financial knowledge, and childhood consumer experience positively affect financial management behaviour among Generation Z in Bandung City. The findings imply that improvements in financial management behaviour can be achieved by strengthening individuals’ locus of control, financial attitudes, financial knowledge, and childhood consumer experiences.
