Peran Pola Asuh Orang Tua dalam Membentuk Problem-Solving Attitude: Studi pada Pola Asuh Demokratis, Otoriter, dan Permisif

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji ada tidaknya pengaruh dari pola asuh demokratis (otoritatif), otoriter, dan juga permisif pada problem-solving attitude. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Sebanyak 273 mahasiswa dilibatkan dalam penelitian dengan menggunakan teknik sampling aksidental. Untuk mengukur problem-solving attitude digunakan versi adaptasi dari instrumen The Problem-Solving Attitude Inventory (PSAI), sedangkan untuk mengukur pola asuh digunakan versi adaptasi dari instrumen Parental Authority Questionnare (PAQ). Analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi sederhana yang digunakan untuk menganalisis pengaruh dari masing-masing jenis pola asuh terhadap problem-solving attitude. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh positif dari pola asuh demokratis terhadap problem-solving attitude. Pola asuh permisif ditemukan memiliki hubungan positif yang lemah dengan problem-solving attitude. Namun, pola asuh otoriter ditemukan tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan problem-solving attitude
