Kebiasaan Berpikir Matematis dan Kemampuan Koneksi Matematika Mahasiswa (Studi Kasus pada Mahasiswa PSTI)

Abstract- Freshman are individuals who experience changes in adaptation from students to students with different learning systems. Every adaptation experienced by students will differ from one individual to another individual. The purpose of this study is to uncover the habits of mind of first semester students in one of the state universities in Purwakarta district. The respondent of this study is 73 freshman students whom taking mathematics courses at UPI Kampus Purwakarta. This study uses a survey method using a closed questionnaire totaling 16 statements about habits of mind in mathematics learning. The results of this study indicate that students are in the weak category of 43.75% and in the quite category as much as 56.25%. It is expected that future researchers will use habits of mind as a learning strategy to overcome the problem of students' mathematical connections, so that the ability of mathematical connections can increase.
