PENERAPAN KONSEP ARSITEKTUR TROPIS PADA REDESAIN KAWASAN WISATA PANTAI JATIMALANG DI KABUPATEN PURWOREJO

Abstract

The Beach Tourism Area of Jatimalang has a vital role as superior tourism in the Purworejo Regency, with its leading function as coastal recreation and culinary tourism. The potential that becomes the primary focus is that Jatimalang Beach is included in the Aerotropolis area of the New Yogyakarta International Airport, with a distance of 9 km. Therefore, redesigning this area properly will increase tourists visiting. This 8-hectare land area will be redesigned using the tropical architecture approach, which is in response to government policies in developing the area that has to pay attenation to global issues such as climate change, and internal issues such as environmental damage. It makes this approach included in the criteria related to issues. The design method collects the data on the site by surveying and taking references about the redesign, then collecting data from personal analysis. The design of this coastal area building combines a balance between the building and the environment, and how the building can respond to the environment optimally. The result of this coastal area after the redesign is a building that follows the previous main function, namely the coastal recreation and culinary tourism with other analysis-based additions. With a structure that minimizes the effects of disasters into a response from the building structure, and increasing green open space, makes this area maximizes the environment.
