Abstract


Konsep smart architecture mendorong inovasi desain fasad adaptif, seperti secondary skin yang berfungsi aktif dalam efisiensi energi, kontrol iklim mikro, dan ekspresi estetika. Penelitian ini menganalisis secondary skin adaptif pada Quadracci Pavilion, Milwaukee Art Museum, untuk mengevaluasi kontribusinya dari aspek fungsi, estetika, dan teknologi cerdas. Pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif digunakan melalui studi literatur dan analisis visual-arsitektural. Teori yang digunakan mencakup desain responsif iklim, smart building, dan estetika fasade. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa secondary skin mendukung kenyamanan termal, efisiensi pencahayaan alami, serta memperkuat identitas visual melalui elemen kinetik. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa secondary skin adaptif berbasis teknologi dapat menjadi solusi fasad arsitektur masa depan yang berkelanjutan dan estetis.
