PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KWL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENENTUKAN IDE POKOK SISWA SD

Abstract


Abstract: This research is motivated by low ability of students for determinie the main idea. The problem is not applied a learning model that guides students directly step by step so that the ability and understanding of students is still low. This study aims to describe the implementation of Know-Want-Learned learning model and improvement of ability to determine the main idea. This classroom action research uses the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart models is implemented for two cycles. Taggart is implemented for two cycles. Participants from this research is a 4th grader of one elementary school in district Cicendo at Bandung city which amounts to 27th people. The implementation of model have three step: What I Know, What I Want to Learn, and What I Have to Learned. There was an increase of percentage of class completeness from cycle I is a 68% and cycle II is a 92%. It can be concluded that the application of Know-Want-Learned model can improve the ability to determine the basic idea of 4th grade students of elementary school.
