MODEL RECIPROCAL TEACHING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN SISWA

Abstract


Abstract : This research is motivated by the lack of reading comprehension skills of the fourth grade students of elementary school. This is because teachers do not implement appropriate learning models to develop reading comprehension skills. Besides, the students have not been accustomed to reading. This study aims to describe the application of reciprocal teaching learning model to improve students' reading comprehension. Participants of this study 28 students four grade of a primary school in the district Sukasari Bandung. This study started from 12th February to May 11th 2018. penilitian method used was a Class Action Research and Mc.Taggart Kemmis research model. Data were collected through observation, testing, and documentation. Lesson plan and qualitative data on learning in engineering analysis using Miles and Huberman, while data quantitative on reading comprehension skills were analyzed statistically, the average and pesentase. The results showed that the application of learning models Reciprocal teaching can improve students' reading comprehension skills of the fourth grade of elementary school
