MODEL INKUIRI PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS SISWA SD

Abstract


This research is motivated by the problems found during the observation of fifth grade student in one of elementary school Sukajadi sub district in Bandung city. As many as 85% known that in studying science students were still very less skilled in scientific work. This is because the learning process is only centered on the teacher and the students tend to be passive or still using conventional learning, students still can not explain a scientific event or phenomenon clearly, in science learning the students have not been involved in observing activities, asking questions, designing experiments, investigation, making conclusions and communication. Learning process which was only through lecturing approaches like this rarely provide an opportunity for students to do practicum or scientific work. The purpose of this research is to improve students science process skills using the Inquiry Model. The purpose of this research is to describe the implementation of the inquiry model and to describe the improvement of the science process skill of fifth grade student. This research used the method of Action Action Class of Kemmis and Taggart model consisting of two cycles with each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data of research result show implementation of Inkuiri model to improve science process skill at student in cycle I and cycle II.
