PENERAPAN METODE DRILL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS KALIMAT SEDERHANA

Abstract


Abstract: This research is motivated by the low ability of students to write simple sentences. This is because the learning process carried out by the teacher does not focus on the training process and writing habits and lack of guidance. In addition, it does not provide a source of inspiration for students to express their ideas or ideas. This study aims to describe the application of the drill method to improve the ability to write simple sentences for second grade students of SDN CRK. Based on these problems, the classroom action research was carried out using the Kemmis and McTaggart model class action research methods. The action is carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The study subjects consisted of 23 students. Data processing used is quantitative and qualitative data analysis. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in the average score of pre-cycle students, which was 53.68 with a percentage of completeness of 32.00%. In the first cycle the average value increased to 71.17 with a completeness percentage of 56.52% and the average cycle II increased to 85.22 with a percentage of completeness of 95.65%. From these results, it can be concluded that the application of the drill method can improve the ability to write simple sentences of second grade elementary school students
