PENGEMBANGAN MULTIMEDIA INTERAKTIF UNTUK PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INGGRIS DI KELAS III SD

Abstract


Abstract: English education in Indonesia starts from primary school level, this is because considering the importance of mastering English that is recognized as an international language. However, English teaching process in elementary schools is often considered difficult and boring by students. Thus, it takes a learning media that makes students more enthusiast in the learning process. This study aims to develop learning media as well as describing the assessment media from the experts and users. The development method used are Design and Development with ADDIE model that are Analyze, Design, Development, and Evaluation. The results obtained in this research are 1) Interactive multimedia named “Know Your Animal with Ima”; 2) Media expert assessment 92.2%, material experts 97.2%, learning experts 94.1% based on the three assessments then the developed media belonging to the category of "Excellent"; 3) The assessment of 25 students get a percentage of 72.2% in the category of "Good" which shows students satisfied with the developed media as a medium in learning English. However, further research needs to be done to test the effectiveness of multimedia usage developed as learning media.
