PENERAPAN MODEL PROJECT BASED LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN ECOLITERACY SISWA DALAM MENGELOLA SAMPAH DI KELAS V SD

Abstract


Abstract: This research is motivated by the low competence of students' ecoliteracy in one of elementary school in Bandung. This study aims to describe the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model to improve the ecoliteracy of V grade elementary school students in managing garbage. The method used is the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method which refers to Kemmis and Mc Taggart models. This research was conducted in two cycles, which consists of stages is planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data was collected through documentation study techniques, tests, observations, attitude scales, field notes, and documentation. Data collected, in this research are qualitative and quantitative. Stages of qualitative data analysis, namely data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results showed an increase in the ecoliteracy competence of V grade elementary school students in managing waste in every aspect. In the head cognitive obtained an average value in the first cycle of 73.13 and the second cycle increased to 85.98. Then in the heart emotional of the first cycle of 75.11 and the second cycle to 81.98. In addition, hands active of the first cycle of skills amounted to 58.27 and the second cycle increased to 89.42.
