PENERAPAN MODEL PBL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIS SISWA KELAS IV SD

Abstract


This research is motivated by the low mathematical problem solving abilities of students. This is because learning is not student-centered. Based on these problems, researchers used the Problem Based Learning model to overcome them. This study aims to describe the implementation of learning by applying the Problem Based Learning model to improve the mathematical problem solving abilities of fourth grade elementary school students and increase the mathematical problem solving abilities of fourth grade students after applying the Problem Based Learning model. The method used is class action research model Kemmis and McTaggart which consists of two cycles. The subjects of this study were 26 grade fourth SDN C students. Data collection techniques use using observation, tests, and field notes. The data processing used is qualitative and quantitative. Qualitatively carried out by stages of data reduction, data presentation, and verification. Whereas quantitatively in the form of test result score, problem solving ability score, class average value, percentage of each indicator, and completeness percentage of problem solving ability. The conclusion of this study is the application of the Problem Based Learning model can improve the mathematical problem solving abilities of fourth grade students of SDN C in the city of Bandung.
