PENGARUH ILUSTRASI MUSIK KLASIK TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MENULIS PUISI SISWA KELAS IV SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract


This research is aimed to find the influence of music classic illustration on poetry writing skills of grade IV primary school students. Generally, it is motivated by learning process of writing poetry that is considered boring by students, teachers tend to think that students’ writing skills are not too important for elementary school level by facilitating students the same as usual.. One of effort that could be done to overcome these problems was by providing stimulus to students like classical music illustrations during the creative process of writing poetry. Those stimulus aimed the students could concentrate more and relax in writing poetry. This research used quantitative and quasi experimental design (non equivalent control group). The result showed that music classic illustration to be able to give contribution around 48,9% in increasing students’ writing poetry ability, meanwhile the class which didn’t get music classic illustration learning only got contribution around 8,4% in increasing students’ writing poetry ability. It can be conclude that music classic illustration proved to be able to provide significant (real) influences and get the difference in the result of significant (real) improvements with classes that didn’t use music classic illustration.
