PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN AJAR BERBASIS PENDEKATANCONCRETE-PICTORIAL-ABSTRACT (CPA) DALAM PEMBELAJARANMATEMATIKA KELAS II SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract


The purpose of this research is (1) to describe hypothesys design teaching materials based on Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach in elementary school mathematics learning, (2) to describe feasibility teaching materials based on ConcretePictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach in elementary school mathematics learning, and (3) to describe final teaching materials based on Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach in elementary school mathematics learning. The background in this research is based on student’s learning outcome in addition and subtraction in whole numbers subject that of over 50% of students get below average study rate. Additionally, there is the delivery of material that is not appropriate in the previous teaching materials, the use of that are less attractive picture illustrations and have not involved students actively building concepts in depth. The research method used is the D&D (Design and Development) method with the PPE (Planning, Production, Evaluation) model initiated by Richey and Klein.. Experts validation involved are material experts, design experts, and linguists. The results of material expert validation is 95.55% with a very feasible category, design expert validation is 81.66% with a very feasible category, and linguist validation is 98% with a very feasible category. While the total validation results are 91.73% with a very feasible category so that the teaching materials developed are very feasible to use.
