Pengembangan Media Buku Bacaan Bergambar untuk Pembelajaran Membaca Permulaan Siswa Kelas I Sekolah Dasar
Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic has had a considerable impact on various aspects of Indonesian people's lives, especially in the field of education. With the Covid-19 virus, the government has imposed a large-scale social distancing restriction policy. One of the policies in the field of education is the implementation of online distance learning from home to break the chain of spreading the Covid-19 virus. This study aims to describe how the implementation of online learning for grade 4 students at elementary school x in Cimenyan District. This research belongs to the type of descriptive qualitative research that uses interview, questionnaire, and observation techniques in data collection. The results of this study describe the implementation of online learning that is quite good, in general, students and teachers already have facilities to support the implementation of online learning activities. In the implementation of online learning, the teacher uses media, models that are considered suitable in the current conditions and situations. The media or platform used in this online learning is the WhatsApp application and Google Meet. The media that is often used is WhatsApp, while the media that is considered to be the most effective is Google Meet. The learning model applied is a direct and problembased learning model. However, it is undeniable that in its implementation it also has several obstacles including decreased student motivation in learning, lack of attention from parents and limited teacher delivery of material so that they feel that they are not optimal like ordinary learning in general. Not only has a hindering factor in the implementation of online learning, there are also several supporting factors including a task force or parent representative since the beginning of the pandemic to facilitate communication between parents and teachers and most students already have online learning support facilities.
