PEMBELAJARAN MENGGUNAKAN ROLE-PLAY UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KECERDASAN INTERPERSONAL SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract


This research is motivated by the low ability of students to communicate with others, students are never directly involved with the surrounding environment in the learning process, lack confidence, are less sensitive , less able to express opinions, students will only express opinions if asked first by the teacher, students are also embarrassed to ask questions during the learning process, this happened to the sixth grade elementary school students. Learning only uses the lecture method and assignments without involving students directly to explore students' interpersonal intelligence, so that the learning carried out is still teacher-centered or teacher center. This study aims to describe the use of Role-Play to improve the interpersonal intelligence of sixth grade elementary school students. This study applies the Kemmis & Taggart model of Classroom Action Research (CAR). This CAR procedure consists of four stages, planning, action, observation, reflection. These four stages will form a cycle. The research participants were sixth grade students in one of the public elementary schools in Bandung Regency. The data obtained were analyzed by qualitative and quantitative methods. After the implementation of two cycles, there was an increase in the percentage of students' interpersonal intelligence as seen from the increase in the average percentage of the class. Before the action (pre-cycle) the average class obtained was 48.8%, an increase of 15.3% to 64.1%, and the implementation of Cycle II increased by 20.4% to 84.5%.learning role-play can improve the interpersonal intelligence of sixth grade elementary school students.
