JPIS (Jurnal Pendidikan Ilmu Sosial) (e-ISSN: 2540-7694 |p-ISSN: 0854-5251) is an open access and international peer-reviewed journal published by Faculty of Social Sciences Education Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, which is the dissemination of research results by researchers in various fields of social science education. The journal has been established with a printed version since 2013 with the contents are accessible online and offline.

JPIS (Jurnal Pendidikan Ilmu  Sosial)  is published in June and December. This journal is indexed in DOAJ, FATCAT, CROSSREF, Google Scholar, and SINTA (S3) and is currently in the reaccreditation process.

Since the issue of Vol 30, No 2 (2021), all articles published in the JPIS (Jurnal Pendidikan Ilmu Sosial) that the official language of the journal is English.

The editors welcome submissions of papers describing the latest theoretical and experimental research related to: (1) Theoretical articles; (2) Empirical studies; (3) Case studies; (4) Literature Review.

JPIS (Jurnal Pendidikan Ilmu Sosial) is the leading journal in Social Studies institutions concerning Social studies and education. The journal is multi-disciplinary, welcoming contributions that advance our understanding of education, science ,and technology as social activities. The journal promotes research and scholarly discussion concerning social studies and eduction in Academic disciplines and Institutions, focusing on the advancement of scholarship both formal and non-formal education.  Topics might be about social sciences (Geography Education, Religion Educatioan, History Education, Economic Education, Sosiology Education, Tourism Education, Communication Science for Education Purposes Social Studies for Multicultural Education, and Social Studies in Developing Countries Education).

JPIS (Jurnal Pendidikan Ilmu Sosial) is the main open access peer-reviewed journal in its field, the journal is verified using double blind review and has a unique DOI, besides that it is a journal in cooperation with Himpunan Sarjana Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (HISPISI)/(Bachelors in Social Sciences Education) where he has been involved with universities and institutions in more than 3 countries around the world, including Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Rusia, Nigeria, Yordania, Malaysia, Philippines, New Zealand, Qatar and India.
