Artificial Intelligence dalam Dunia Kampus: Perspektif Mahasiswa Universitas Palangka Raya
Abstract
This study explores the perceptions of students at the University of Palangka Raya regarding the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in enhancing the quality of learning within the campus environment. The variables in this study include students' perceptions of artificial intelligence, negative experiences, positive experiences, and students' academic performance. The study uses primary data obtained from respondents' answers, which were then analyzed using descriptive analysis and influence analysis. The findings show that most students use artificial intelligence to complete assignments, and this usage has an impact on their academic performance. All the hypotheses in this study were confirmed: (1) students' perceptions have a positive effect on academic performance; (2) negative experiences have a negative effect on academic performance, and; (3) positive experiences have a positive effect on academic performance. Based on the results, the study recommends that clear policies should be established regarding the use of artificial intelligence to avoid negative impacts such as a decline in critical thinking skills and issues related to information bias. Additionally, universities should conduct regular evaluations of the impact of AI use in learning.
