TELAAH KARAKTERISTIK KEBIJAKAN PAI DI PERGURUAN TINGGI: PERSPEKTIF PENDIDIKAN UMUM

Abstract


Abstract. So far, the implementation of Islamic Religious Education (IRE)  policies in higher education has not been optimal in achieving the expected goals as shown by several research results. One of the contributing factors is due to the diverse understanding of universities in interpreting the criteria for implementing Islamic Religious Education policies in higher education. This study seeks to analyze the criteria for implementing Islamic Education policies in higher education based on the prevailing laws and regulations in Indonesia from the perspective of general education.This study uses a qualitative approach and descriptive methods. The researcher acts as a key instrument. The data collection technique used document study. Data analysis includes data reduction steps, data display and data verification. The results showed that there are criteria in implementing Islamic (IRE) policies in higher education in the laws and regulations that are in line with general education.

Abstrak. Sejauh ini, implementasi kebijakan Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di perguruan tinggi belum optimal dalam mencapai tujuan yang diharapkan sebagaimana yang ditunjukkan oleh beberapa hasil riset. Salah satu faktor penyebabnya karena beragamnya pemahaman perguruan tinggi dalam menafsirkan kriteria impleemntasi kebijakan PAI di perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini berupaya untuk menganalisis kriteria implementasi kebijakan PAI di perguruan tinggi berdasarkan peraturan perundang-undangan yang berlaku di Indonesia dalam perspektif pendidikan umum. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif. Peneliti bertindak sebagai instrumen kunci. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan studi dokumen. Analisis data meliputi langkah reduksi data, display data dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kriteria dalam implementasi kebijakan PAI di perguruan tinggi dalam peraturan perundang-undangan yang selaras dengan pendidikan umum.
