Author Guidelines

AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Authors who wish to submit manuscripts to this journal are expected to follow the guidelines below as the primary reference for writing scientific articles. This journal accepts original research articles following the IMRAD structure (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion). This format is a widely recognized international standard that helps readers understand the flow of the research.

1. Manuscript Criteria

Submitted manuscripts must be original research that has not been previously published and is not under consideration elsewhere. Articles must be relevant to the journal’s focus and scope and contribute meaningfully to the development of knowledge, policy, or professional practice in the relevant field. Manuscripts must be a minimum of 20 pages (including references, tables, and appendices) and include at least 20 core scholarly references in the form of journal articles. Web-based sources are only allowed if they consist of official data (e.g., from BPS, WHO, UNESCO), and the use of books is not recommended.

2. IMRAD Structure

Manuscripts must adhere to the IMRAD structure, which consists of:

  • Introduction: Describes the research background, problem, objectives, and both theoretical and practical contributions. A brief literature review is required to highlight the research gap being addressed.

  • Methods: Explains the research approach, type of research, population and sample, data collection techniques, research instruments, and data analysis methods. This section must be detailed enough to allow replication.

  • Results: Presents research findings systematically, typically in narrative form supported by tables, charts, or diagrams. In-depth interpretation should not be included in this section.

  • Discussion: Interprets the findings, links them to existing theories or previous studies, and explains implications, limitations, and suggestions for future research.

  • Conclusion: Summarizes the key findings and provides recommendations or practical suggestions for future studies.

  • References: Must follow APA 7th edition (2020) citation style and include only the sources cited within the manuscript.

3. Writing Style and Formatting

The entire manuscript—including font style and size, margins, spacing, numbering, as well as the formatting of tables and figures—must comply with the journal’s official template. Authors must ensure their manuscripts consistently follow the required formatting standards.

4. Supplementary Files

Authors are encouraged to upload additional materials that enhance readers’ understanding of the article, such as:

  • Research datasets (.xlsx, .csv, .sav)

  • Research instruments (questionnaires, interview guides, observation forms)

  • Additional tables or figures

  • Multimedia files (video, audio, infographics)

All supplementary files must be relevant to the article, clearly labeled, and uploaded alongside the manuscript through the journal’s submission system.

5. Publication Ethics

Authors are fully responsible for the originality and authenticity of their manuscripts. Manuscripts must be free from plagiarism and must have obtained necessary permissions when using data, figures, or specific citations. All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process. The editorial team reserves the right to reject manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s substantive or technical requirements.

6. Submission Procedure

Manuscripts must be submitted via the journal’s Open Journal System (OJS). Authors must register as users before submitting. Submissions that do not comply with the journal’s formatting guidelines will be returned for revision prior to the review process. Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx) format. Further information is available on the journal's Submission Guidelines page.
