Author Guidelines

Authors intending to submit manuscripts to this journal are expected to adhere to the following guidelines as the main reference in preparing scientific articles. The journal accepts original research articles that follow the IMRAD structure (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion). This format is a widely recognized international standard that facilitates readers’ understanding of the research flow.

1. Manuscript Criteria

Submitted manuscripts must be original research that has not been previously published and is not under consideration elsewhere. Articles must be relevant to the focus and scope of the journal and provide meaningful contributions to the development of knowledge, policy, or professional practice in the relevant field. The manuscript should be a minimum of 15 pages in length (including references, tables, and appendices) and must include at least 20 primary scholarly references in the form of journal articles. Sources from websites are only allowed if they are official data (e.g., from BPS, WHO, UNESCO), and the use of books is not recommended.

2. IMRAD Structure

Manuscripts must follow the IMRAD structure, which consists of:

  • Introduction: Describes the background of the study, research problem, objectives, and both theoretical and practical contributions. A brief literature review is required to demonstrate the research gap being addressed.

  • Methods: Details the research approach, type of research, population and sample, data collection techniques, research instruments, and data analysis methods. This section must be sufficiently detailed to allow replication.

  • Results: Presents the research findings systematically, typically through narrative supported by tables, graphs, or diagrams. In-depth interpretation should be avoided in this section.

  • Discussion: Interprets the research findings, relates them to existing theories or previous studies, and explains their implications, limitations, and future research directions.

  • Conclusion: Summarizes the main findings and provides practical recommendations or suggestions for further research.

  • References: Must follow the APA 7th edition (2020) citation style and include only sources cited in the manuscript.

3. Writing Style and Formatting

The entire manuscript, including font style and size, margins, spacing, numbering, and the formatting of tables and figures, must conform to the official journal template provided. Authors must ensure their manuscript follows the formatting requirements consistently.

4. Supplementary Files

Authors are encouraged to submit supplementary materials that enhance the readers’ understanding of the article, such as:

  • Research datasets (.xlsx, .csv, .sav)

  • Research instruments (questionnaires, interview guides, observation forms)

  • Additional tables or figures

  • Multimedia files (video, audio, infographics)

All supplementary files must be relevant to the article, clearly labeled, and uploaded alongside the manuscript through the journal's online submission system.

5. Publication Ethics

Authors are fully responsible for the originality and authenticity of their manuscripts. The manuscript must be free from plagiarism and must have obtained necessary permissions when using specific data, figures, or citations. All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer-review process, and the editorial team reserves the right to reject manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s substantive or technical requirements.

6. Submission Procedure

Manuscripts must be submitted via the journal’s Open Journal System (OJS). Authors must register as users before submitting. Submissions that do not comply with the journal's format will be returned for revision before entering the review stage. Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx) format. Detailed information regarding the submission process is available on the journal’s Submission Guidelines page.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscript has not been previously published, nor is it under consideration for publication elsewhere (or an explanation has been provided in the Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics rather than underlining (except for URLs); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which can be found in the About the Journal section.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review  have been followed.
