The Influence of Interactive Media Based on Information Technology on the Learning Effectiveness of Students

Abstract

This study examines the vital role of interactive media based on information technology in enhancing the effectiveness of learning and student motivation. Using John M. Keller’s ARCS motivation model (Attention, Relevance, Confidence, Satisfaction), the research demonstrates that interactive media such as quizzes, simulations, and educational games can capture students' attention, increase the relevance of learning materials, build confidence, and provide satisfaction throughout the learning process. The qualitative method used, through literature review, reveals that interactive media not only improves students' understanding and engagement but also supports the development of 21st-century skills such as critical thinking and collaboration. Although technology is transforming learning methods, the teacher’s role remains essential in adapting teaching strategies to become more interactive and student-centered. The study also identifies challenges in technology integration and emphasizes the importance of teacher training to optimize the use of interactive media in creating active and creative learning environments. The findings show that interactive media significantly enhances students’ motivation and learning outcomes.
