Iklim Organisasi Sebagai Senjata Rahasia untuk Meningkatkan Kinerja Pegawai Secara Spektakuler di Industri Perhotelan

Abstract

The hospitality industry is currently faced with the challenge of creating a supportive work environment to improve employee performance amidst intense competition. A conducive organizational climate is proven to play a role in driving productivity, job satisfaction, and loyalty, thus strengthening the competitiveness of hotels. However, the results of research on the contribution of organizational climate to employee performance still show differences, so further studies are needed. This study used a quantitative approach through a survey to all employees of Hotel X Bandung. Simple linear regression analysis yielded a coefficient of 0.616 with R² of 77.4%, indicating that organizational climate explained most of the variation in employee performance. Support factors and work standards are the main components of a positive climate, while the responsibility aspect still needs strengthening. Employees who feel a good working atmosphere tend to show higher work quality, quantity and effectiveness. These findings reinforce the importance of management's role in developing a supportive organizational climate to sustainably drive employee performance in the hospitality sector.

Abstrak

Industri perhotelan saat ini dihadapkan pada tantangan menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang mendukung untuk meningkatkan kinerja pegawai di tengah persaingan yang ketat. Iklim organisasi yang kondusif terbukti berperan dalam mendorong produktivitas, kepuasan kerja, dan loyalitas, sehingga memperkuat daya saing hotel. Meski demikian, hasil penelitian mengenai kontribusi iklim organisasi terhadap kinerja pegawai masih menunjukkan perbedaan, sehingga diperlukan studi lanjutan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui survei kepada seluruh pegawai Hotel X Bandung. Analisis regresi linier sederhana menghasilkan koefisien 0,616 dengan R² sebesar 77,4%, menunjukkan bahwa iklim organisasi menjelaskan sebagian besar variasi kinerja pegawai. Faktor dukungan dan standar kerja menjadi komponen utama pembentuk iklim positif, sementara aspek tanggung jawab masih perlu penguatan. Pegawai yang merasakan suasana kerja yang baik cenderung menunjukkan kualitas, kuantitas, dan efektivitas kerja yang lebih tinggi. Temuan ini mempertegas pentingnya peran manajemen dalam mengembangkan iklim organisasi yang mendukung guna mendorong kinerja pegawai secara berkelanjutan di sektor perhotelan
