Peran Mahasiswa dalam Mendukung Proses Pembelajaran melalui Program Pengabdian di Sekolah Rakyat 9 Bandung: Upaya Meningkatkan Kualitas Pembelajaran Siswa

Abstract

The People's School Program is a government initiative to expand educational access for students from economically disadvantaged families. However, the learning process still faces challenges, including low learning motivation, limited participation, weak learning habits, and inadequate independent learning skills. This community service program aimed to improve learning quality through the involvement of university students as learning facilitators. A participatory and collaborative approach was implemented through four stages: preparation, implementation, evaluation, and reporting. The activities included interactive learning, learning motivation sessions, instructional media development, independent learning activities, and collaboration with teachers. The program resulted in a more active learning environment, increased student participation and motivation, strengthened independent learning habits, and enhanced collaboration between university students and teachers. In addition, the program produced learning modules, instructional media, student worksheets, and other learning resources to support future classroom activities. These findings indicate that university student involvement through community service is an effective strategy for improving learning quality in the People's School Program while strengthening collaboration between higher education institutions and schools
