IMPLEMENTASI PENGEMBANGAN EARLY MATH SKILLS DI PENDIDIKAN ANAK USIA DINI

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi pengembangan keterampilan matematika anak usia dini pada pendidikan anak usia dini di Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan analisis dokumen dengan teknik analisis data tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan pembelajaran tidak terstruktur, menggunakan kurikulum tahun sebelumnya tanpa penyesuaian. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran cenderung berpusat pada guru dengan metode drill, paper-pencil test, dan ceramah. Evaluasi pembelajaran dilakukan melalui lembar kerja dan observasi informal. Kurangnya pemahaman guru terhadap pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis bermain dan tingginya harapan orang tua terhadap keterampilan literasi anak menjadi tantangan utama. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya pengembangan kurikulum yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan anak dan pendekatan pembelajaran eksperiensial untuk meningkatkan pemahaman matematika anak usia dini.
