Model pendidikan kewarganegaraan berbasis community civic untuk memperkuat civic competence mahasiswa dan memberdayakan masyarakat

Abstract

This research focuses on finalizing the community civic-based PKn model for students of civic competence and empowering the community. The reality of PKn which is ceremonial and theoretically dominant, makes the practice of PKn in the community does not have a representative vision, stages and sectors involved. This research is based on a qualitative approach with a literature review method, data analysis techniques namely condensation, reduction and verification, to confirm that the community civic-based PKn model can strengthen students' civic competence, overcome social problems and empower the community as a whole. Results: 1) The community civic-based PKn model reflects PKn in the community, is non-formal, contextual, includes civic engagement, pentahelix collaboration, and ensures the improvement of students' civic competence, overcomes social problems and empowers the community, and 2) The stages of realization of the community civic-based PKn model are finalization of scientific studies, persuasive communication and finalization of work programs, pentahelix collaboration, evaluation and follow-up, as well as massive socialization. The conclusion is that the community civic-based PKn model is a new paradigm of PKn learning, because it is integrative, by containing a mutualistic relationship between the community and students.
