Penguatan literasi digital guru SMA melalui pelatihan GeoGebra untuk visualisasi konsep matematika

Abstract

Mathematics learning often faces challenges in helping students understand abstract concepts. One approach to addressing this issue is the use of technology-based visual learning media. GeoGebra is a dynamic mathematics software that enables interactive visualization of mathematical concepts and has been widely used in mathematics education worldwide. However, many teachers still have limited experience in utilizing GeoGebra effectively in classroom instruction. This community service program aimed to strengthen the digital literacy of senior high school teachers through GeoGebra training for the visualization of mathematical concepts. The program employed a combination of introduction, training, and mentoring activities focusing on the use of GeoGebra for equations, inequalities, and functions. A total of 42 participants registered for the program, with 33 participants completing the entire training series. The evaluation results indicated that 94% of the participants provided positive feedback on the training, most participants demonstrated a good understanding of the materials presented, and showed a strong interest in implementing GeoGebra in their mathematics classrooms. These findings suggest that GeoGebra training can support the enhancement of teachers’ digital literacy and improve their readiness to integrate technology into mathematics learning through interactive and contextual visualization of mathematical concepts.
