Abstract

This study analyzes the need for Internet of Things (IoT)-based renewable energy learning media to strengthen green skills in vocational electrical engineering schools. Data were collected in three vocational schools in Banten Province through observation, semi-structured interviews, documentation, and a questionnaire involving 30 productive teachers. Results show very high demand for real-time renewable energy learning media (91%), IoT integration in practical learning (88%), green-skills reinforcement (86%), and a smart monitoring renewable microgrid system for work readiness (93%). The composite need index reached 89.5%. The study proposes a conceptual trainer integrating photovoltaic modules, electrical sensors, ESP32, cloud monitoring, digital dashboards, and learning analytics as a pedagogical bridge between conventional electrical practice and green industry competence.
